Coming off our 10th anniversary we are excited to start our next chapter in comics with our Spring 2018 comics season!
We start off like nature does with a burst of colour in the form of A. Degen’s Soft X-Ray / Mindhunters, an incredible mixture of manga and metaphysical art, which Degen has constructed into a wholly unique universe that feels mythic and modern. Next up is Fiona Smyth’s Somnambulance, which collects over thirty years of comics that traffic in dream logic, sex positivity and wondrous drawings that are horror vacui less the horror, are collected for the first time. Smyth’s comics are a vital, and criminally overlooked, part of comics’ literary canon. Jessica Campbell focuses her razor sharp wit on the sci fi world with XTC69; remember, in space, no one wants to hear your defence of MRAs. Michael DeForge returns with a collection of short stories titled A Western World. These often rare and hard to find comics are some of DeForge’s best comics and no longer his best-kept secrets. Michael Comeau, you might know him, but you definitely do not know his sci fi slice of punk rock pulp for those who dig gig posters as much as Neil deGrasse Tyson, Winter’s Cosmos. Rounding out the season is another exciting, all-ages Double+ Adventure The Ideal Copy. For the past three years, Sears has been building an incredible world of quirky characters and rip-roaring adventures under the Double+ banner. In this short time, over three standalone volumes, he has created so much awesome he has likely raised worldwide levels.
This is our biggest season, in terms of page count, ever! We are immensely excited to bring such a spectacular selection of comics to you this Spring!
