Sequential, the website dedicated to Canadian comics news and culture, has asked a number of cartoonists and critics to talk about the year that was and the year that will be for a new feature called The Janus Project.
Comics critic Jeet Heer is looking forward to Michael DeForge’s A Body Beneath and Jesse Jacobs’s Safari Honeymoon in 2014. Cartoonist Diana Tamblyn, who recently released her graphic novel Gerald Bull and the Supergun, is also looking forward to Jacobs’s Safari Honeymoon. She cites the “visceral quality of his line work and his use of colour” as why she is so enamoured with his work.
See what else Heer, Tamblyn and others enjoyed in 2013 and are looking forward to in 2014 here!
